About
Kathleen Bowman
President & CEO
Ms. Bowman founded Alrescha Partners in 2007. The name Alrescha was chosen for several reasons. Alrescha means rope in Arabic. In the constellation Pisces, it is Alrescha that ties the two fish together. Alrescha Partners was established with the intent to better tie the inception of a software application development project to the successful deployment of that application.
In 2003, Ms. Bowman began her career in the Information Technology industry. She has learned the software development lifecycle by holding Project Management, Business Analysis, Requirements Gathering, Testing and Technical Writing positions. She has extensive understanding of the Federal government software application development process through her work with the General Services Administration, Military Sealift Command, Department of Justice and Drug Enforcement Administration. Ms. Bowman has also worked on several commercial software application development projects.
Ms. Bowman graduated from Virginia Tech in 1990 with a BA in Political Science. She has had an extensive government career with the Commonwealth of Virginia. Her diverse background includes Police Sergeant, Supervisory Deputy Clerk for Fairfax County General District Court and Paralegal for the Fairfax County Commonwealth's Attorneys Office. She has worked for a variety of agencies including the Jamestown/Yorktown Foundation, the Virginia Department of Alcohol Beverage Control, Northern Virginia Community College and the University of Mary Washington. She has worked in the counties of Montgomery, James City, Fairfax and Arlington, as well as the cities of Williamsburg, Fredericksburg and Fairfax.
